Over 110 drivers dealt with by roads policing officers in Salisbury
The stops all happened in one day, as part of the Project Zero campaign
Wiltshire roads policing officers have dealt with a total of 116 drivers in Salisbury over just one day.
A day of action's been held in the city as part of the force's Project Zero campaign.
That targets the so-called 'fatal five' contributory factors in serious collisions on our roads - speeding, drink or drug driving, using a mobile phone, not wearing a seatbelt and driving carelessly.
Many of the offences dealt with in Salisbury were related to speeding, with some over mobile phone use and others stopped for not having insurance.
Acting Inspector of the Roads Policing Unit in Wiltshire, Will Ayres said:
“Our team of roads policing officers will continue to work alongside the community speed enforcement team to target these offences throughout the county, in a bid to keep our roads safe and ensure road users feel safe.”
