Driver loses car after anti-social driving in Salisbury car park
A passenger was hanging out the drivers window, whilst driving in Culver Street car park
Drivers in Salisbury are being reminded about their behaviour in Culver Street car park.
Police in Salisbury have issued a reminder that anyone caught driving anti-socially in the multi-storey car park will have their vehicle seized without warning.
It comes after one driver ignored signs posted in the area and put himself and others at risk of harm in late October.
His car was seized a few days later under section 59 of the Police Reform Act 2002, which allows us to seize vehicles which have been used in a manner which causes alarm, distress or annoyance to the public.
PCSO Jack Hammond, from Salisbury's Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "While you might think it's a good idea to hang out of your car window in an attempt to impress your mates, you're the one who has to deal with the consequences.
"I would encourage you to think carefully about the repercussions of anti-social behaviour."
Anyone with concerns about anti-social behaviour can report it to police by calling 101 or online through our website. Always call 999 if an incident is ongoing.
