Amid rising concerns in the Larkhill community of drink drivers, an operation conducted by Amesbury NPT, Salisbury NPT and the Roads Policing unit has led to an arrest.

The operation took place on Saturday night and while no drink drivers were found an arrest was made for suspected drug driving.

The team also seized three vehicles for a variety of document offences while six tickets were also issued for other offences.

Amesbury Police have reminded the community that drink driving won’t be tolerated with more such operations coming over the summer in the area.

If you suspect someone is drink driving, phone 999. If you have information about a drink driver, it can be reported online, via 101 or anonymously through crime stoppers.
