The Goat, on The Borough, shut temporarily on Wednesday (13th October) after being informed that a customer had returned a positive Covid-19 case.

They carried out a deep clean throughout the pub and got all of their staff tested - with them all coming back negative.

Other customers were also contacted by Test and Trace to make sure there was no further spread of the illness.

It's now been confirmed that there have been no further cases connected to the pub, so they've been given the go ahead to reopen.

The pub's reminded customers to stick to the coronavirus rules while they're inside the venue.

Everyone's asked to wear a face covering when not at a table, use hand sanitiser, follow the one way system and keep to social distancing.
