Downton FC part company with manager

Downton FC has parted ways with their manager, and his assistant boss.

The Robins posted on social media last night (Sunday 8th December) to tell fans that Shaun Hale and Ryan Hill had left the Nest.

The side are currently 19th in the Wessex League Premier Division table, having picked up 11 points from 16 games.

The club's paid tribute to the pair in their post:

"Shaun and Ryan have contributed a tremendous amount during their time with us, and we would like to place on record our gratitude for their commitment and passion, we wish Shaun and Ryan all the very best for the future."

Ben Smith and Rae Hughes will take charge of the first team for the time being.

They have a Wessex League Cup fixture against Hamworthy Rec on Tuesday evening (10th December), along with an FA Vase fixture against Fareham Town at the weekend (Saturday 14th December).

The club say they're 'seeking to finalise the appointment of a permanent First Team Manager'.
