Gang who raided Downton Co-op targeted premises in Landford less than an hour later
Police have confirmed incidents on New Year's Eve are linked
Wiltshire Police have issued an appeal to identify burglary suspects who raided a store and petrol station in the early hours of the 31st of December.
The Co-op in Downton was targeted at 3.40am with four men using a sledgehammer to break in before stealing tills and cigarettes.
Police say they made off in a black Audi Q7 which had been stolen earlier
Around forty minutes later at 4.20 am the same gang struck targeted the BP Service Station on the A36 at Landford.
They used crowbars to prise open the door before stealing cigarettes, a till and other items from the premises.
The suspects are all described as having a stocky build and wearing dark clothing. They wore balaclavas and face coverings during the burglaries.

“We would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incidents or who may have recorded dash cam footage of a black Audi Q7 around the times of the burglaries.
"The roads would have been relatively quiet at that time so it’s likely that this distinctive vehicle may have caught your attention. Please contact us if you can help.”
