Dog forces Wiltshire Air Ambulance to abort landing

The charity has issued a plea to pet owners following the incident yesterday

The emergency helicopter was called to an incident in Shrivenham, north east of Swindon at 12.48pm on Tuesday (12th January).

On the first approach to land, our aircrew were forced to abort their landing due to "an excitable dog."

A suitable alternative landing site was found nearby so the crew could land and carry out their duties.

The patient was taken to Great Western Hospital.

The chaity has issued advice some tips for pet owners.
