Two more people charged over Wiltshire distraction thefts

Wiltshire Police have charged two more people in connection with a series of distraction thefts in the county.

Elderly members of the public were approached in the street by people pretending to be charity workers and had their jewellery stolen.

Two such incidents took place in the Waitrose car park in Salisbury and the car park of Tesco in Amesbury.

Benjamin Radu and Narcisa Schian, both 22 and of Mears Drive, Birmingham, have been charged with conspiracy to steal.

The pair have been remanded in custody.

Three other people - Alina Cristea, 21, Denisa Gheorghe, 27, and Patricia Tanase, 22, all of Jellicoe Close, Slough - have already been charged in connection with the incidents and are also remanded in custody.

All five people are due to appear in court on Wednesday 3rd May.
