Dion Spencer, well known as Disco Dion, has been using his time at home wisely over the last 23 weeks and holding virtual events to raise money for various charities.

On Friday (28th August) at 10pm the DJ from Durrington held his 2nd 24 hour Discothon in aid of MIND and The John McNeil Centre in Salisbury.

He raised £1,900 from that, bringing his total since lockdown to £9,670.

Dion held the fundraiser as he was unable to do his Retro at the Rec & Sunday Funday charity event this bank holiday weekend.

As the children's entertainer has been unable to work, he's taken his business online and be doing things like music quizzes and virtual houseparties.

In May he did his first discothon, and managed to raise £5,670 for Salisbury Hospital.

Meanwhile he had £2,100 donated in March which went towards Wiltshire Air Ambulance, Alabare and Salisbury Hospice.

He now says he is going to hang up the headphones for a couple of weeks while he decides what's next.
