Paul Barrett, who's 42 and from White Road in Mere, is due in court again today (Weds 29 Dec) charged with murder after a fatal crash in a Wiltshire village.
It follows a collision around 7pm last Wednesday night (22 Dec) in Dinton, just 3 days before Christmas, which claimed the life of biker Ryan Brindley from Amesbury.
Ryan, 43, was killed in the crash between his bike and a Volkswagen Touran on the B3089, near to the Wyndham Arms pub in the village.
Paul Barrett had already appeared before Swindon Magistrates on Monday where he only spoke to confirm his name, date of birth and address before being remanded in custody.
Members of Mr Brindley's family were at this short hearing, and are likely to be in court again today.
At Monday's hearing in Swindon, presiding justice Christine Smith told Mr Barrett:
"You have heard we cannot deal with this case here and we are officially sending this to the crown court and there will be hearing on Wednesday, December 29, at Salisbury Crown Court to deal with your bail status."
Yesterday the distraught family of Ryan Brindley released a tribute to him, saying he was a 'unique' man who was 'loved by so many' and will 'never be forgotten'
