A stolen quad bike has been recovered near Tidworth, and the force now want to return it to it's owner.

At around 4pm on Monday (4th January) an officer was following what was believed to be a stolen vehicle along the A3026 from Tidworth to Ludgershall.

The bike turned off into Eden Road and onto an un-named track leading up to Sweet Apple Farm.

The rider of the vehicle then got off and ran into the small copse at the end of the road, heading in the direction of the A338 along the tank track.

That's where officers were able to recover the bike which had no registration plates and is black in colour.

CAN YOU HELP?

Wiltshire Police are also hoping someone may have seen the quad bike being ridden in the area around this time.

They want more information on the suspect who is described as:

  • Wearing dark trousers and navy anorak
  • Approximately 5ft 10 inches tall
  • Very slim build
  • Not wearing a cycle helmet

PC Sharon Duggan said:

"We'd like to speak with anyone who may have been in the area at this time and has dashcam footage from either direction to or away from Wellington Academy towards Tidworth. Also, if any members of the public in the Eden Road area had any sightings of this person please come forward.

Whilst we are pleased to have removed an illegal vehicle from the roads we are keen to reunite the quad bike with it's rightful owner and would appreciate anyone with any information to contact us."
