New Deichmann store opens in Salisbury

Salisbury's Old George Mall has a new tenant from today (Wednesday 24th May) - shoe retailer Deichmann.
The national chain's latest branch has taken over the units that used to be Topshop and Topman.
It's been a long time coming too, with the planning application for the store going in to Wiltshire Council over a year ago.
Deichmann has around 120 stores in the UK, and operates in more than 30 countries around the world.
Their shops use a system where the shoes are out in the shop floor in their boxes, so customers choose the style they like and find their size directly.
The Salisbury branch will create 12 jobs for the city too, following a £535,000 refurbishment of the unit.
The company's told us they'll have half price offers on selected brands for the first week of opening, with prize giveaways this weekend (Saturday 27th May).
