Emergency services were called to the B3080 in Redlynch this morning (Wednesday 9th November) after a bus and van collided.

Witnesses at the scene say one person was 'badly hurt.'

The road has now reopened.

The bus involved was a school service for Burgate School in Fordingbridge.

Mike Freeborn, Morebus operations manager confirmed to Greatest Hits Radio that no pupils were on board at the time;

“One of our buses, operating a school service from North Charford to Burgate, was involved in an incident on the B3080 this morning. The bus was stationary, and was hit in the rear by a van. There were no students on board at the time.

“We are assisting the police as they carry out enquiries into the circumstances behind the incident.”

It's understood three people were taken to hospital following the incident - both drivers and another occupant from the van.
