A sculpture of a cow's head has been stolen from the front garden of a house in East Knoyle.

Brazen thieves took the bronze ornament on New Year's Day at some point between midday and 2pm.

Police say that the size and weight of the object, which was visible from the road, mean it would have taken a specialist to remove it from it's plinth.

The force are now hoping that someone may have witnessed the incident take place or know of its whereabouts.

If anyone has dashcam footage from the area around that time or have seen the object up for sale, you should call police on 101 quoting crime reference number 54210000235.
