Covid-19: Another death reported at Salisbury District Hospital

It takes the total number since the pandemic began to 61.

The Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust has confirmed that they've had another patient who's passed away there, after having tested positive for Covid-19.

In a statement they've said:

"We are sorry to announce that a women in 90s who had tested positive for COVID-19 and had pre-existing conditions died on Thursday 19th November.

"Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this difficult time."

It's the second death in a week at our hospital, following a man in his 80s who passed away on 15th November.

CURRENT CASES

In the 7 days to the 18th of November, there were 674 confirmed cases of the virus in Wiltshire - an increase of 145 on the previous seven days.

That gives the local authority a rolling seven day case rate per 100,000 people of 134.8.

This is still below the national average of 240.7.
