It's been less than four weeks since the City Hall in Salisbury opened as a large scale vaccination centre.
Yesterday (21st Feb) the 10,000th jab, with that all important vaccine, was administered.
Operations Director Fiona Hyett confirmed the milestone on social media.
The praise was echoed by the Chief Executive of Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust, Stacey Hunter, who described it as a "fantastic achievement."
HUGE EFFORT
As well as clinical teams, members of the military and volunteers have also been helping with the operation.
Derek Gibbens has been volunteering with Salisbury Freemasons and told Greatest Hits Radio that he was delighted to do his bit.
“I jumped at the opportunity and feel privileged and humbled to have done a tiny bit. I have been so impressed with the organisation of the NHS - just doing what they do at their very best.”
Supporters from the Chilmark based emergency and disaster response charity RE:ACT have also been playing their part.
Last week the clinical commissioning group which covers Wiltshire announced that all residents who fall into the top four priority groups have been offered vaccines.
Anyone aged 65 and over can now book a Covid-19 vaccine, without waiting to be invited by visiting the NHS booking website**** or by calling 119**.
People who have previously received a letter saying they are at high risk from coronavirus (clinically extremely vulnerable) can also book an appointment.
Meanwhile the vaccination programme is contacting those aged 16 to 64 with an underlying health condition.
