COVID-19: Deaths reach 245 at Salisbury District Hospital

Salisbury District Hospital have confirmed that another patient has passed away there, having tested positive for Covid-19.
This means the total number of fatalities is at 245 since the pandemic began.
A spokesperson for Salisbury District Hospital said:
"Sadly, we can confirm that a patient who had been cared for at Salisbury District Hospital and had tested positive for COVID-19 died today, Tuesday 15th February. The patient was in her 90s and had underlying health conditions. 245 patients in total have now passed away.
Our thoughts and condolences are with his family and loved ones at this very difficult and distressing time.
We are still experiencing a high number of COVID-19 positive patients - there are currently 38 COVID-19 positive patients being treated at the hospital.
We would ask the public to remain cautious and to take appropriate precautions to avoid transmission. We remind visitors to the hospital that they must wear a face mask when in the hospital and have a negative lateral flow test before entering the buildings. In addition, with the current levels of COVID-19 still in our community, people should take up the invitation for a COVID-19 vaccine when offered. It is never too late to get a first vaccine.”
