Covid 19: Number of deaths at Salisbury District Hospital rises to 201

The total number of deaths at Salisbury District Hospital has risen to 201.

The Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust has confirmed that another patient who was being cared for at the hospital has died after testing positive for Covid-19.

The Trust told us:

"A man in his 70s with underlying health conditions died on 01st March 2021.

"Our thoughts and condolences are with the patient’s family and loved ones at this very difficult and distressing time.

"The total number of patients that have died at Salisbury District Hospital after receiving a COVID-19 positive test result is now 201."

LATEST CASES

In the seven days to 1st March 2021, there have been 390 positive cases in Wiltshire.

That's a decrease of 117 on the previous week.

This means the county's rolling rate per 100,000 population is at 78.
