The number of people in Wiltshire who have tested positive for Covid-19 has continued to fall.

The figures are well below the national average, but there's still much work to be done in order for us to be safe.

Wiltshire's Public Health Director, Kate Blackburn, is urging us to continue following all the Covid-19 guidance to keep the figures low.

She said:

"With society opening up again it can be easy to think the pandemic is over, but we can’t think like that we’ve got to continue with those good habits that have been ingrained in us this past year, the regular hand washing for at least 20 seconds, wearing a face covering where needed and that really critical maintaining social distancing, we even have to do that outside."

Meanwhile, the Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust have confirmed that the number of positive in-patients at the hospital has stayed low.

As of 8:15am this morning (Wednesday 21st April) there were five people with the virus in Salisbury District Hospital.
