Covid-19: Further death recorded at Salisbury District Hospital
The Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust has confirmed the news

Another person has died at Salisbury District Hospital, having tested positive for Covid-19.
It takes the total number of deaths there since the pandemic began to 87.
A statement from the Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust says:
“Today we are reporting a further death where the patient had tested positive for COVID-19.
A gentleman in his 80s with underlying conditions died on 6th January 2021.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time”
CURRENT CASE NUMBERS
In the 7 days to the 1st of January, there were 1,421 confirmed cases of the virus in Wiltshire, an increase of 669 on the previous week.
That gives the local authority a rolling seven day case rate per 100,000 people of 284.2.
The national average is 579.8.
