Covid-19: Deaths up to 65 at Salisbury District Hospital

The Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust has confirmed that they've had another three patients who have passed away there, after having tested positive for Covid-19.

In a statement they've said:

“Sadly a total of 65 patients who had tested positive for COVID-19 have died at Salisbury District Hospital.

One man in his sixties died on 28th November.

One man in his seventies died on 30th November.

One man in his seventies, with pre-existing health conditions, died on 1st December.

Our thoughts and condolences are with the patients’ families and loved ones at this difficult time.”

CURRENT CASES

In the 7 days to the 28th of November, there were 360 confirmed cases of the virus in Wiltshire - an decrease of 237 on the previous seven days.

That gives the local authority a rolling seven day case rate per 100,000 people of 72.0.

This is still below the national average of 155.4.
