The Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust has confirmed that they've had another patient who has passed away there, after having tested positive for Covid-19.

In a statement they've said:

“Sadly a gentleman in his 70s with underlying health conditions who had tested positive for COVID 19 has passed away (25th November). Our thoughts are with his friends and family at this difficult time.”

It's the second death in a week at our hospital, following a woman in her 90s who passed away on 19th November.

Latest figures show that on the 17th November there were 11 beds at Salisbury District Hospital taken up by Covid-19 patients.

CURRENT CASES

In the 7 days to the 20th of November, there were 638 confirmed cases of the virus in Wiltshire - an increase of 58 on the previous seven days.

That gives the local authority a rolling seven day case rate per 100,000 people of 127.6

This is still below the national average of 218.4.
