Although the number of Covid-19 in Wiltshire are low stats show they are rising.

63 were recorded in the seven days up until the 3rd of June - that's up 70% from the previous week.

Figures also show there've been 15 cases of the Delta or Indian variant in the county.

However the rate of all Covid infections per 100,000 people is still low compared to the England average.

The rate here is 12.6 compared to England's 44.2.

VACCINE TAKE UP

Meanwhile NHS England data shows one in every 100 people aged 50 and over in Wiltshire have yet to receive a first vaccination dose against Covid-19 despite being invited to book a jab more than two months ago.

1,294 people in this age bracket had still to receive a first vaccination dose as of May 30th -1% of the age group based on latest population estimates from the Office for National Statistics.
