Salisbury Police have issued a stern warning, calling on parents and carers saying "...do you know where your children are?"

Officers have dealt with several reports of antisocial behaviour in the last 24 hours, ranging from underage drinking yesterday evening, fights and most recently a fire in Lower Bemerton.

The mayhem coincides with the last day of school for many pupils, but Salisbury Police say this isn’t the way to celebrate!

UNACCEPTABLE: School children's appalling behaviour

PCSO Rose was called to reports of a fire which contained contents of schoolbooks and diaries. When he got there several school children ran off from the area. The fire was started on a grassy area next to some shrubbery, and potentially could have spread.

PCSO Rose contained the small fire, and called the Fire Service to ensure everything was safe.

Salisbury's Neighbourhood Policing Team will be patrolling hotspots but parents and carers are being urged to check-in with any young people they look after and make sure they aren’t up to anything else anti-social, dangerous or destructive.

Contact Wiltshire Police on 101 if you see something suspicious, or dial 999 in an emergency.
