Coldharbour Lane resurfacing overrunning by up to three weeks
Salisbury City Council have given an update on the works
The works to resurface the Coldharbour Lane track in Salisbury are expected to overrun by up to three weeks.
The City Council initially said they'd have contractors on site for six weeks, up to June 30th.
That's now expected to be finished in mid to late July.
The delay's been blamed on 'ground conditions being worse than anticipated' along with some uncharted utilities, which led to a re-design of the work.
An additional 60 metres of the road has had to be replaced as a result.
Salisbury City Council say the work's now 'in its final stages' but access for vehicles wanting to get to the allotments, tennis club, scout hut and school is still restricted.
Traffic's only able to use the track between 4.30 and 6.30pm, Monday to Sunday - pedestrian access isn't affected.
There's also a warning that the route is unstable too, so it's to be used at our own risk.
