The closure order will be in effect for a property in Wick Lane for the next three months.

That means only the occupant, emergency services or anyone from Wiltshire Council is allowed to enter the house during that time.

Wiltshire Police say the closure order's needed following what they've described as a 'high number' of anti-social behaviour incidents there.

PC James Barrett said:

"It is clear that these ongoing incidents of anti-social behaviour are having an increasingly detrimental effect on those living nearby. We have worked closely with Wiltshire Council on this application and I am pleased that it has been approved by magistrates."

As part of the order, there'll be 'regular visits' from police to make sure the closure order is being kept to.

High visibility patrols will also be carried out in Downton to prevent further anti-social behaviour in the area.
