The court heard that the Chitterne man was stopped by officers in Shrewton in the early hours of 24th November 2019 after driving through a police road closure.

It had been blocked due to a fatal collision.

Timoney-Canning was stopped and tested at the roadside where he failed a drugs wipe.

He was found to be three times over the legal limit for Benzoylecgonine, a breakdown product of cocaine.

He also pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis on the same day.

Meanwhile, when awaiting his court date, the 21 year-old was stopped in Amesbury town centre on 26th July 2020.

Officers had become suspicious of his driving and he subsequently failed a breath test, being three times over the legal alcohol limit.

Timoney-Canning has now been banned from driving for two years and ordered to complete a Rehabilitation Activity Requirement.

He's also been fined £705 and pay a further £175 in court costs.
