A 15-year-old boy has appeared before Swindon Magistrates' Court accused of murdering 16-year-old Shayne Hambakachere in Chippenham.

Shayne was discovered with serious injuries on Saturday and was later taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol, where he died.

Chairwoman of the bench, Helen Toomer, stated that the case would be sent to Bristol Crown Court due to its serious nature, and the youth would remain in youth detention accommodation.

The next hearing is scheduled for Friday.

Shayne's father, Emmanuel Hambakachere, shared a tribute in a statement released by Wiltshire Police, highlighting Shayne's sense of humour, athleticism, and helpfulness at home.

"He was also very smart and tidy, he would not leave for school without making his bed," Mr Hambakachere said.

Tributes, including flowers, have been left at Shayne's school, Hardenhuish School, in Chippenham.
