Just days before this year's Chalke Valley History Festival gets underway, their main sponsor's announced it's their final event with them.

The Daily Mail newspaper's back the festival for the last ten years.

No reason's been for them stepping back, but the Broad Chalke event's founder says they've been 'enormously grateful' for their support.

They've said the Daily Mail's been 'instrumental in nurturing the success' of the festival since it began.

James Holland, Chair and Co-Founder of the Chalke Valley History Festival, said:

“We are enormously grateful to the Daily Mail for its unwavering support over the last decade. In particular we would like to thank Lady Rothermere who has been a major champion of the festival since the start.”

This year's CVHF |newtab) begins on Monday (26th June) and runs through until Sunday 2nd July.

Events and talks will take place throughout each day, alongside a school programme.
