Celebratory service led by Archbishop of Canterbury in Salisbury
The event at the Cathedral is the climax of a three day 'mission' here
The Archbishop of Canterbury is leading a special celebratory service at Salisbury Cathedral today (Sunday 11th June).
Justin Welby has been a guest of the Diocese of Salisbury throughout the weekend, with this afternoon's service being the culmination of the visit.
Anyone's welcome to attend, with it being taken outside onto the West Lawn, to allow more people to attend.
We can go along from 3.30pm for the service to begin at 4.00pm.
Take a blanket or chair, as no seating will be provided by the Cathedral.
During the service, there'll be a chance to hear from the Archbishop of Canterbury himself, as well as asking him questions.
There'll also be live music from children's choir Hymnpact and the Lantern Church, Wimborne.
For those who can't make it along, the service is also being live-streamed on YouTube.
This comes at the end of a three day visit to the Salisbury Diocese - which was billed as being 'mission-led' meeting with a cross-section of the community.
The Archbishop's been to see Wiltshire armed forces personnel, Salisbury Plain prison Erlestoke, and local schools since Friday (9th June).
He's been right across the Diocese too, which stretches across South Wiltshire and for most of Dorset.
