Wiltshire Police say at around 2.45pm on 23rd September a man was seen to enter the staff area of a restaurant in New Canal and steal a wallet containing number of bank cards.

Someone then attempted to use one of these bank cards in transactions at businesses around the city.

PC Harry Evans, from the Salisbury Area Community Policing Team, said:

"I appreciate this CCTV image doesn’t show this man’s face clearly, but I believe that if people know him then they will recognise him from the picture."

"He is also carrying a distinctive orange-coloured shopping bag which might help jog your memory."

Anyone with information should call PC Evans on 101, quoting crime reference 54200096063. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
