CCTV released after man stabbed with screwdriver in Salisbury

It's thought the attacker cycled away on a bike

Wiltshire Police are re-appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Salisbury in which a man sustained facial injuries.

At around 2.30am on December 3rd the victim was assaulted with an object, believed to be a screwdriver, on the junction of New Canal and Milford Street.

He sustained a puncture wound just below his eye.

Officers have now released CCTV video of a suspect thought to be riding away from the incident on a bike.

The suspect, described as a man wearing black with a face covering, is thought to have been cycling around the city centre for some time before the incident.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said:
