Make me a light: The Salisbury Cathedral performance your child can sing in
The virtual performance is taking place on Easter Sunday

Salisbury Cathedral is inviting children across the region to take part in a virtual performance for Easter.
During lockdown, musicians from Salisbury Cathedral and Salisbury Cathedral School have joined forces to create a fun voice workshop for children that will finish with a virtual performance 'in' the cathedral on Easter Day.
The 'Make Me a light' workshop is designed to introduce children to singing, giving them a flavour of the way cathedral choristers rehearse.
Organisers are hoping it will inspire children to join a choir or community choir.
The session starts with vocal exercises led by Susie Lamb, director of Music at the Cathedral School.
"We really hope loads of children will take part in the workshop and the song. I normally go out into local schools to run workshops like this, and we have a children's community choir at the Cathedral, but none of that has been happening because of the pandemic, so we thought we'd try to get things going a different way. It'll be lovely hearing all those voices 'in' the Cathedral and online."
It will be followed by a session with David Halls, Director of music at Salisbury Cathedral, which then prepares the children for a performance of Philip Wilby's lovely sacred song 'Make Me a Light.'
David Halls, said:
"We were incredibly disappointed when the Be a Chorister for a Day event had to be cancelled. It's such an important introduction to the Cathedral and singing as part of a choir here. So, when the school came up with this idea, I jumped at the opportunity to get involved."
Once the children have done the workshop, each child will be asked to make their own recording of the song and send it in.
All the voices will then be compiled to create the final song.
All children are welcome to take part in the online workshop and can be done at home with the family, support bubble or as part of school lessons - materials are available on the Cathedral website.
The workshop package has been put together by the Chorister Tutor Jake Reynolds, along with Susie Lamb, David Halls and Shane Brennan.
