Arrest after catalytic converter thefts in the New Forest

Police are questioning an individual about a string of incidents

A man has been arrested following spate of catalytic converter thefts in the New Forest.

Officers have been investigating incidents across a wide area including Ringwood, Lymington and New Milton.

It comes after a series of vehicles were targeted on the evening of Wednesday 28 April between 10.15pm and 3.55am on Thursday 29 April.

A property on Westbury Close in Bransgore was serached by Hampshire Officers, and a a number of power tools were found - including a power saw and car keys. These have all now been seized.

A 21-year-old man from Bransgore has been arrested on six counts of theft from a motor vehicle.

He remains in custody.
