Covid cases on increase in Wiltshire, but numbers low at Salisbury District Hospital

The number of positive patients with Covid-19 at Salisbury District Hospital have remained low, despite cases increasing in Wiltshire.

The NHS Foundation Trust have confirmed that there is one patient at the hospital, as of 8:15am this morning (Thursday 1st July).

Their numbers have been jumping around a little since May, with zero being recorded between the 15th and 24th of May and also between 8th and 28th June.

Meanwhile, the latest data shows that the number of Covid-19 cases has increased again in Wiltshire.

In the seven days to the 25th of June there have been 442 cases recorded in Wiltshire.

That's an increase of 196 in the previous seven days.

It means the the county's rate per 100,000 population is at 88.4.

The England average is 149.
