Wiltshire Police tell us this incident happened on Lower Road at around 5.30pm on Monday evening (17th January).

A silver VW Passat attempted to pass a man on a skateboard, close to the junction with Hampton Court.

After that, an 'altercation' took place, between the skateboarder and the driver of the car, a man in his 70s.

The car's offside window was then smashed by an object being thrown at it.

Police believe there would have been other cars in the area at the time, including behind the Passat, so it's likely there were witnesses.

They're asking anyone who can help, or who might have dashcam footage, to get in touch with them.

Call 101, quoting crime reference number 54220005830, if you have any information.
