There's another warning from Hampshire Police to make sure you take your valuables with you in the New Forest.

It follows thefts at Bramshaw Wood car park and Penn Common, near Nomansland, in recent days.

The vehicles have been broken into for bags and money to be stolen from inside.

In one case, the back window has been smashed so thieves could get access to the boot.

Officers believe offenders may have been watching the victims when they were placing items there to keep them out of sight.

In a social media post, police said:

"The beautiful weather will mean more thieves operating in the Forest so never leave anything valuable in your vehicle, take everything with you.

"And don't hide anything in the boot, because you never know who is watching you."
