People in Salisbury are being encouraged to surrender illegal knives without the risk of prosecution.

It's part of a nation-wide campaign, Operation Sceptre, aiming to crack down on knife crime across the UK.

The campaign aims to take action and educate people who are carrying knives.

The Offences Weapons Act was amended in 2019, making it an offence to possess certain weapons in private, these include but are not limited to a zombie knife, a flick knife or a butterfly knife.

We're urged to 'save a life, bin the knife' but surrendering the blade at the amnesty bin at Bourne Hill police station.
