Push to raise £40,000 to mark Salisbury Hospice's 40th birthday
The charity is looking for more businesses to show their support
Last updated 7th Jul 2021
This year to celebrate 40 years of Salisbury Hospice offering palliative care in Salisbury and the surrounding area, Salisbury Hospice Charity is working with local businesses to raise £40,000.
This initiative was set up by the charity's Corporate Fundraiser, Louise Compton who says:
"I thought this would be a great way to bring businesses and their employees together after spending such a long time apart due to COVID 19, whilst at the same time raising vital funds for our wonderful local Hospice. "
Since 1st January 23 members of the club have been busy fundraising and donating to the campaign.
Busineses showing their support so far include Blue Frontier, Vita Skin Spa, Reeve the Baker. Abi Care, The Winchester Gate, Spire Glass and Nationawide Building Society.
Louise continues:
"I would like to thank all the current members who have already raised funds in many different ways from two businesses walking virtually from Lands end to John O'Groats through to one company holding an intercompany 'pull up for pounds' day"
Louise says the fund will make a huge difference to the amount they have to raise each year.
"I am delighted to announce that at our 6-month mark we have already raised £10,000! These funds will go towards the running costs of the Hospice and the £1.5m Salisbury Hospice Charity aim to raise every year".
