Hampshire Police has confirmed the force received reports of burglary from a 'number of residential properties' in Hale between Thursday 11th March and Friday 12 March.

The incidents all took place along Hale Purlieu.

Power tools and garden tools were stolen from an outbuilding between 3am and 4am on Friday 12 March whilst a garage was also broken into between midnight and 6am with a battery charger stolen.

Keys were also taken from inside one property and a white Volvo parked outside stolen.

Police say the vehicle was taken between 10pm on Thursday 11 March and 7.20am on Friday 12 March.

Several properties along Hale Purlieu were targeted last week.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary told Greatest Hits Radio

"Our local Neighbourhood Policing Team are following-up with all the victims and exploring all possible lines of enquiry. Please be reassured that we are doing all we can to protect the community and bring these offenders to justice."

Meanwhile a burnt out vehicle was also discovered on Friday morning in the National Trust car park along Hale Purlieu.

A car destroyed by fire was discovered not far from the break-ins.

Hampshire Police have not confirmed if this is connected with the burglaries.

It's the third burnt out vehicle in the area in the last six weeks.

On February 4th a Skoda was found just two miles down the road in Redlynch with Wiltshire Police later confirming the vehicle was stolen.

Whilst on the 17th February a burnt out Ford Ranger was discovered in Bramshaw wood car park.
