A school in Fordingbridge is doing its bit for the environment, by installing electric vehicle charging points on site.

Burgate School and Sixth Form have two charging points as part of a "school-wide effort to fight climate change".

Former pupil Alex Bartlett, who has his own electrical business, returned to the school to install the EV points with teacher Sarah Jones the first to use it!

Burgate has set what it's described as an "ambitious' zero carbon target for 2025, and this is another step towards that.

Other lifestyle changes include encouraging a move to at least one meat-free meal each week and walking, cycling and car sharing initiatives.

The school also plan to increase the number of solar panels they have and move to 100% renewable electricity.
