Broad Chalke Parish Council raises concerns over speeding drivers
Wiltshire Police have responded by carrying out speed checks
The Parish Council in Broad Chalke have raised concerns over the speed of drivers in the village to Wiltshire Police.
The Force have acted on these concerns by carrying out speed checks in the area, where there’s a noticeable speed limit drop from 60mph to 20mph.
The 20mph zone comes into effect when entering the residential area.
Officers PC Smith and PCSO’s Moss & Ward engaged with the community whilst at the roadside, encouraging them to continue reporting issues in the area.
PC Smith reminds the public that speed limits are in place for a reason, saying we should “drive smart”, adjusting our speeds in accordance with the signs in place at the roadside.
