Van driver arrested after 'serious collision' with young teen

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a serious collision in West Lavington on Friday (4th Dec 2020).

Officers were called around 2.20pm to reports of teenager being hit by a van on Lavington Lane, not far from Lavington School.

A 14-year-old boy was taken by Wiltshire Air Ambulance to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries and remains in a stable condition.

MAN ARRESTED

A 50-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving offences. He has been released under investigation.

The road was closed so that collision investigators could carry out their enquiries.

Anyone who witnessed the collision should call Wiltshire Police on 101 and quote log number 155 of December 4.
