A body has been discovered during the search for a man reported missing from Calne.
The 33-year-old, named as Ricky, was reported missing on Saturday afternoon. Officers, assisted by the Wiltshire Search and Rescue team, had been searching for him.
He was last seen heading towards the recreation ground on Saturday afternoon.
A body was found just after 10am this morning (17 March) near Quemerford Road, Calne.
Formal identification has not yet taken place, but Ricky’s family have been informed.
A police spokesperson said: “Our thoughts remain with them during this incredibly difficult time, and they will continue to be supported by specialist officers.”
