Wiltshire teenager remains in custody following Bath stabbing
16-year-old Mikey Roynon died after being attacked at a house party
A teenager from Wiltshire remains in police custody in connection with a stabbing in Bath on Saturday (10th June).
16-year-old Mikey Roynon died after being attacked at a house party in Eastfield Avenue.
14 teenagers were arrested following his death, with 12 of them having now been released.
On Monday, specialist officers found a knife when searching the scene and surrounding area, though Avon and Somerset police are not saying if they believe this is the murder weapon.
In a statement on Tuesday, Detective Inspector Mark Newbury, senior investigating officer, said: “Our investigation is progressing and we have already build up a fairly good picture of what took place.
"Around 50 to 60 people, the majority of which were children, were inside the property at the time and sadly witnessed things no one would want them to see.
"As a result, we are working closely with our partners to ensure they have access to support, including specialist counselling."
DI Newbury added that footage of the incident should not be posted on social media, saying it could be illegal and prejudice a future court case.
