Arrests after disorder in Downton

Officers were called to the High Street in Downton just after 8.30pm on Saturday (4th June) following a report of a disorder.

A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place understood to be a knife.

He's been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Jay Pidgeley, 18, of Pine Road, Alderholt, has been charged with assault of an emergency worker and criminal damage and is due in Salisbury Magistrates Court on June 24.
