Appeal to trace driver after 'targeted' Salisbury collision
Two people suffered potentially life-changing injuries on South Western Road
Two people have suffered potentially life-changing injuries in a crash near Salisbury train station - with an urgent appeal to trace a driver in connection with the incident.
A car struck the pair on South Western Road at around midday today (Thursday 25th March), in what police are calling a 'targeted attack'.
The vehicle's reported to have mounted the pavement.
The victims have been taken to hospital and are known to the driver, who didn't stop at the scene.
The car involved has been found abandoned in Lower Road in Bemerton - with a police cordon in place there and at the scene of the crash.
Appeal to trace man
There's a Wiltshire Police appeal to locate 22 year old Braden Lynam in connection with the incident.
He's has links to Salisbury and is thought to be in Southampton.
Detective Inspector Eirin Martin, from Wiltshire Police's Criminal Investigation Department, said:
“This is a serious incident which has resulted in two people needing hospital treatment after suffering potentially life-changing injuries.
“We believe this was a targeted attack and the victims are known to the driver.
"There is no wider risk to the public."
