Police in Tidworth are investigating reports of anti-social behaviour at a local supermarket, which has coincided with the school holidays.

Officers says a group of youths are alleged to have forced the doors to Lidl in Pennings Road open, on Easter Sunday (31st March).

Young people have also been gathering in the car park for skateboarding and scootering.

Parents are being asked by police to speak to their children about such behaviour.

PC Mat Jacob said:

“We understand it is the school holidays but we’d urge parents to ensure they know where and what their children are doing as much as possible as we have had several reports regarding the behaviour of young children in the local area over the past week.

“We’d also like to remind young people that the Lidl car park is not to be used as a skate park. We have been liaising with the store management in relation to this and we are concerned that anyone continuing to skate in the car park is putting themselves and drivers at risk of being involved in a collision.”
