South West Wiltshire MP visits Ukraine
Andrew Murrison has been there for a second time since war broke out
South West Wiltshire MP Andrew Murrison has taken a second trip to Ukraine since the Russian invasion began there.
He's visited Kyiv in his role as a Government minister for defence personnel.
Dr Murrison spoke at a conference for Ukrainian veterans, and met his opposite number - following up on her visit to London earlier this year.
The UK is assisting Ukraine with aspects of medical support and rehabilitation.
He also visited the town of Bucha outside Kyiv where advancing Russians killed civilians, including children and elderly people, before they were forced back by the Ukrainian Army.
After his return home to Wiltshire, Andrew said:
"Ukraine must prevail and this country must continue to lead others in standing up for what is right. I'm delighted that Wiltshire's training areas and significant numbers of local people, uniformed and civilian, are involved in training Ukrainian troops. That's something to be proud of."
