Amesbury and Tidworth could be in new constituency for next election
A reshuffle of areas is being proposed
The Boundary Commission has published proposals which would change some of the constituency areas in Wiltshire by the next election in 2023.
They say the move would even out the number of voters for each area and make Parliament fairer.
Under these plans, people in Amesbury, Tidworth, Pewsey, Ludgershall and Durrington would be voting in a new constituency called East Wiltshire.
Amesbury currently comes under the Salisbury constituency, while the others are classed as Devizes, which MP Danny Kruger holds the seat for.
However, much of that group would change, with Devizes instead becoming part of a Melksham & Devizes constituency area alongside Corsham, Bradford on Avon and Melksham.
Meanwhile, South West Wiltshire would keep much of its former makeup, like Chilmark and Hindon, but will be renamed as the Trowbridge and Warminster CC.
The Salisbury constituency would also remain mostly the same but Tisbury would be included and no longer be part of South West Wiltshire.
The Boundary Commission are asking for feedback on the changes.
We can do so by visiting their website, we have until August 2nd.
